This technology tool that I used for this was google forms. I communicated with my virtual co op on what she was discussing with her third grade class at this time, which is multiplication. In this form I made a quiz that is around multiplying by 2,5, and 10, also sets and arrays. With this form of technology you can make different types of questions like multiple choice, short answer, paragraph, drop down box, etc. It is a quick and easy way to test your student's knowledge on a subject. You could also use this for surveys to learn more about your student's interest and also to set times to meet with parents. In my high school career I used this tool for the majority of my quizzes and surveys.
Google forms falls under the third domain with instruction for the Danielson's Framework. This tool is not just for quizzes and assessments, but it is also for surveys and worksheets to use for the student's benefit. The student learns from the worksheet maybe the order of a story or even learning the theme of a novel. It helps them gain knowledge and learn more about the content in the class. The main element of domain three that it goes along with is using discussion and questioning techniques. The teacher is asking questions so that they can see their progress in the class and make sure that they are grasping the questions. Also, giving quizzes on google forms you can again see where they are and identify which areas you need to discuss more with the class. It can be used as a formative assessment and not even grade the quiz given. Also, this can keep each student on track with the lesson if you have them answer two questions in the middle of the lesson about what you have talked about so far.
Technology has various ways of being utilized within the classroom. Google forms is one of those popular tools for your classroom. Many teachers use them for quizzes to be taken on the child's computer, but it can also be used for student surveys. For example, in high school you could vote for your class president on it and the responses would come back immediately. Also, educators could use this for student back to school surveys. You would be able to get to know your student better and think of fun ways to incorporate their likes into the classroom setting. I would love to use this tool in my classroom, especially to get to know my students. By creating surveys to see what the student's dislikes are then you can find out what they like and use it to build a relationship. All teachers should have a deep and meaningful relationship, google forms is a way to aid teachers with this. I could also have this for the student's because they could create their own quizzes to help them learn the material.
